Argentinian football legend Diego Maradona has been accused of sexually harassing a Russian journalist Ekaterina Nadolskaya during an interview, British tabloid paper The Sun reported.
The 56-year-old allegedly forcibly removed the journalists’ dress during an interview in a hotel in St Petersburg, claims which he denies.
“Maradona shut the door, and first starting answering my questions and then began harassing me,” she told Komsomolskaya Pravda.
He forced her dress off and then she “managed to stop the harassment only when she was in her underwear,” she added.
Friends of the retired football icon claim that she was the one who began to undress, while he asked her to leave.
Maradona, known as one of the greatest players of all time, was in Russia watching the Confederations Cup final, which Germany won.
