The Drone Champions League comes home - with a new racing concept, a new title sponsor, an increasing number of younger and international pilots and highly selective tracks.
These mega events glance in the media hype all around the globe. In front of thousands of live-spectators and millions of TV viewers, broadcasted in over 100 countries all over the world, 32 pilots (in 4 teams) competed one another for the title.
The two teams battling in the finale have their origins in Switzerland and Germany.2:1 was the result of a thrilling semifinal between the CONRAD Racing team and NEXXBlades Racing.
The other semifinal consisted of the NEXXBR Free flow Team and the pilots from FPVRacingCH.
The Swiss team was able to secure the victory and enhance to the finals. Literally 2 minutes before the final, it started raining, which didn’t hinder the professional pilots to fly and fight each other over the title for the FL1GP Champion.
The spectacular race took everyone through tension and release, when the German Team from Conrad Racing finally made the deciding heat into the final gate and marched home victoriously. Against all odds, the rain did not influence the event at all and the crowd stood strong and rooted for their teams. There were no technical issues connected to the weather.
Overall, it was a round and amazing event, that took the attention of everybody. The whole drone racing community and the DCL Crew cannot wait for the next event.
