Pakistani cricket player reports UAE bookie to anti-corruption unit

A Pakistani cricket player has reported a bookie to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) anti-corruption unit.

The player and his team were part of the ODI series game against Sri Lanka which took place in the UAE on Friday. Pakistan won by seven wickets.

The bookie’s offer was made on Wednesday, reported an article published in Dawn.

According to the article, the player instantly reported the incident to the PCB. Dawn cited official sources speaking to Wisden India news as saying that the bookie was a UAE resident.

The concerned player’s immediate actions were in accordance with the cricket player’s code, according to the report. But the player's identity remains unknown.
