Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC) and La Liga - a sports association composed of professional football clubs of Spain - renewed on Thursday their partnership agreement for three more years to come.
The renewal - on the margins of Dubai 12th International Sports Conference - has been made and signed by Aref Hamad Al Awani, ADSC General Secretary, and Javier Tebas Medrano, president of La Liga, reported ADSC.ae.
The agreement is meant to enhance footballing professionalism in Abu Dhabi emirate, as both parties will share knowledge and experiences in terms of footballing administrative and organizational aspects.
Based on this agreement, both parties agreed to organize football tournaments for youth teams from Abu Dhabi’s Clubs and Spanish Clubs as per La Liga criteria.
Both parties have also agreed to continue organizing conferences and seminars in Abu Dhabi. Those seminars will cover technical, administrative, marketing and financial matters related to professional football clubs - with qualified speakers who are former footballers, coaches, technical directors, finance and marketing experts to speak on the panels of those seminars.
“We are proud to renew our partnership agreement with LaLiga. This agreement will help us develop football professionalism in Abu Dhabi emirate,” said Aref Al Awani, ADSC General Secretary.
For his part, Javier Tebas Medrano, president of La Liga said: “La Liga is a global spectacle and, as such, international agreements like this one are key for us. It is also an important partnership for our clubs, because we all learn from such knowledge sharing."

In 2017, La Liga organized seven very successful seminars in Abu Dhabi. They covered football scouting, injury prevention, physical fitness, coach of coaches and grassroots marketing and financial controls.
