In what can only be described as a kind gesture, Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli sent out his best wishes to Pakistan umpire Aleem Dar on the opening of his new restaurant.
According to a Dawn news report, proceeds of the new restaurant will go toward opening of a school for deaf children. Dar is a respected figure in world cricket and arguably the greatest umpire to come out of Pakistan.
In a video message, Kohli said: "Hello Aleem Bhai I have heard that you have opened up a new restaurant...many congratulations on that. I wish that your restaurant becomes just as successful as you are an umpire."
Kohli said: “I have also heard that you want to make a school for deaf children through the earnings of this restaurant so I hope that you accomplish what you want to accomplish. I encourage everyone to go and try his restaurant.”
Kohli has sent similar messages to the umprre earlier, once addressing his son and wishing him well on cricketing career.
