Board of Directors of the Saudi Shooting & Archery Federation has appointed Noora bint Saleh al-Turki as Vice President, the Saudi Press Agency has reported.
The announcement was made following a meeting which was held yesterday after the Chairman of the Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee Turki al-Sheikh approved the assembly of the Board of Directors of the General Sports Authority.
Noora who is the first saudi woman to take on this post, thanked members of the Board and the federation for their confidence in her for this new assignment as vice president.
She also commended the support extended to her by the President of the General Sports Authority and President of the Olympic Committee for all sports federations, including the Shooting Federation. She said she hopes to bring up the ranks of shooting sports to the international arenas.
After new appointments, the Board of Directors of the Saudi Shooting Federation will include Fares Saadi as President, and Nora Turki as Vice President and Mazen Al-Jubeir, Musab Al-Muhaideb and Rakan Al-Fadl as members.
