Croatian ministers arrived for their cabinet session dressed in the red and white jerseys of their national football team on Thursday to celebrate their country's victory in the World Cup semi-final against England.

Croatia beat England 2-1 in extra time on Wednesday, which will see them take on France in the final on Sunday.

Andrej Plenkovic, Croatian Prime Minister said "This team has moved a step forward from our old team in 1998. This can confirm only one thing, that we have become a football superpower. And most probably after this we will have a little bit more confidence in our own country. Not only in football, but in general."

Zdravko Maric, Croatian Finance Minister, said "The whole world is talking about Croatia. They are all talking about our country, our jerseys, our squares, it's just a phenomenal feeling."

From his part, Milan Kujundzic, Health Minister added "I am very proud and I'm sure we will become the champions, we beat the English and now we're going to kick the ass of the French and we will be the new champions."
