Bayern Munich’s Rafinha causes uproar with Halloween costume choice

Published: Updated:

Bayern Munich’s right-back, Brazilian Rafinha, caused an uproar on social media after wearing traditional Arab clothing and holding a box labelled ‘caution’ with wires coming out of it to resemble a bomb.

The 33-year-old player was at a Halloween party, where the picture was shared by the club on their official Twitter account. The post has since been deleted.

Rafinha has issued an apology on his official Twitter account stating that it was not his intention to cause any anger.

“Halloween is a scary celebration with exaggerated costumes, it was not my intention to anger anyone through my disguise or hurt someones feelings,” he said.
