Sarkozy to Tamim: World Cup 2022 in exchange for buying PSG, launching BeIN

British sports website, Bleacher Report, published on Friday a continuation of leaks that this time featured a promise made by former French President Nicholas Sarkozy to Qatar's Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani.

The new leaks show that Sarkozy had promised Tamim Qatar’s hosting of the World Cup in 2022 on the condition that Doha would buy the French club PSG and launch BeIN sports channel in France.

The leaks’ text goes as follows: "Nicolas Sarkozy told Emir of Qatar Tamim Al-Thani (before he became emir) in a meeting in 2010 that if he bought PSG & launched a sports channel in France (BeIN Sports), that he would instruct Michel Platini to award Qatar the 2022 World Cup."
