It is likely that Qatar will be chosen to launch the exclusive new Ferrari Sergio designed by Pininfarina, the Dubai-based Arabian Business website reported on Saturday.

“We are thinking of taking the new Sergio to Qatar. We will show the new Ferrari Sergio only in preselected countries and Qatar could be one of them,” President of Pininfarina, the company that carries his name, Paola Pininfarina, told the site.

The company will produce only six cars, each with unique features.

However, the common mechanic new features of the cars, which are made up of a Ferrari 458 Spider with new carbon fiber bodywork, are its lighter weight and fast acceleration rate.

It will be 10 percent lighter and allows the car to accelerate from 0-100km per hour in less than 3.4 seconds.

The Ferrari Sergio units are to honor Sergio Pininfarina, Paolo’s father, who celebrated six decades of cooperation with Ferrari.

“My father would be proud of this concept car,” the company’s president said. “It expresses the aesthetic values that always inspired him: the purity of the lines, the harmony of form, and balance.
