Have you always been a slow reader? No need to worry, Boston-based software developer Spritz is set to release an app that revolutionizes reading by allowing you to potentially read a book in 90 minutes.

Instead of reading words along a line, Spritz’ technology causes the words to flash up, one after the other, in the same place on screen.

The company adds that “the time consuming part of reading lies mainly in the actual eye movements from word to word and sentence to sentence.” This is precisely what the developers sought to address.

“Spritzing presents reading content with the ORP (Optimal Recognition Point) located at the specific place where you’re already looking,” they explain, “allowing you to read without having to move your eyes.”

“There are lots of other reading techniques out there such as skimming (not reading every word),” says the company on their official website, but such practices need “continuous training and dedication… spritzing can be learned in less than five minutes.
