Love them for THIS reason: Boyzone to play Dubai gig

One year after their 20th anniversary, Boyzone are set to perform for Dubai crowds in May.

The British pop group will perform on May 22, one day before Justin Timberlake performs in Abu Dhabi.

During their heyday, Ronan Keeting, Mikey Graham, Keith Duffy, Shane Lynch and Stephen Gately were pop music icons, since their breakthrough with the cover of the classic Osmond's hit "Love Me for a Reason" in 1995, to the huge success of “Isn't it a wonder,” “Picture of You,” “Baby Can I Hold You,” “No Matter What” and 'When the Going Gets Tough.”

In 2000, the group split and the members engaged themselves in a solo career, with Ronan Keating being the most successful, whereas Duffy played part in British soap opera, “Coronation Street.”

In 2008, one year before Stephen Gately passed away in Majorca due to an undiagnosed heart condition, the group gathered again and organized a world tour for which they sold nearly 200,000 tickets only three hours after their comeback announcement.
