Syrian militant leader preaches jihad with ‘Hello Kitty notepad’

A video of a Syrian militant leader having a hello Kitty notepad in front of him while giving a speech to his troops has gone viral on the Internet.
In the video, Zahran Alloush, the head of Jaysh al-Islam, appeared wearing a combat uniform, with gun holsters strapped on and having a pink Hello Kitty notepad in front of him.
The leader was speaking out against the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIS), who his group have been trying to wrestle territory from around Ghouta, near Damascus.
Last week, fighters from Jaish Al-Islam ejected ISIS from the Ghouta town of Midaa after three days of heavy clashes.
The video was posted on YouTube last week although it was unclear when it was filmed.
Jaysh al-Islam is a militant group fighting the Syrian Government of Bashar al Assad.
