Jena Malone of “Hunger Games” acclaim is rumored to be starring in the much awaited DC Comic movie “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” as the dark knight’s sidekick Robin, according to a Detroit news station.
Jena Malone is rumored to be starring as the character of Carrie Kelley, a female Robin that appeared in the alternate universe of “The Dark Knight Returns” comic book series.
A reporter for WILX-10 News station spoke with one of the film’s extras at Michigan State University, where a scene involving Bruce Wayne, played by Ben Affleck, and Lex Luthor, played by Jesse Eisenberg, was being filmed this week.
“I’ve also learned that the character of Robin is now female,” the extra said.
Malone, who appeared in “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire,” has been sporting a new red hairdo. Robin has been portrayed in print and film with bright red hair.
The anonymous extra reportedly faces a steep fine of $5 million after signing a non-disclosure agreement with Warner Bros.
