Video shows students driven in car boot in Saudi Arabia
Following the release of the shocking video, social media users have called for the arrest and punishment of the driver
A Saudi driver sparked outrage this week after he was filmed transporting three children in a car boot.
The video, posted on Youtube, portrayed the three school girls sitting in the boot with their legs hanging while the car was moving in southwestern Saudi Arabia.
Following the release of the shocking clip, social media users have called for the arrest and punishment of the driver.
“This is a crime and action should be taken against all those who have allowed this to happen,” Khalilo, a blogger, commented.
“No excuse whatsoever can be accepted for this abuse of innocence,” Khalilo added
Meanwhile, another female user said that such incidents could be avoided if women were allowed to drive in the Kingdom.
“If mothers were able to drive, they would take their daughters to school in the morning and bring them home at the end of the day,” Fajr said.
“They would never allow their daughters to be driven in such a risky and shameful manner,” she said.
