Chinese premature baby discovered alive two hours after her burial

Infant was buried in yard before being rescued

A Chinese newborn has reportedly survived being buried alive only two hours after her parents mistakenly believed she was delivered stillborn, according to media reports.

The mother, Lu Xiaoyun, went into labor during what she thought to be her fourth month of pregnancy, the Daily Mail reported.

Believing she had suffered a miscarriage and gave birth to a stillborn baby, Lu and her husband, He Yong, rushed to the hospital only to be told that there could be a chance the baby was alive and that the body should be properly checked first.

By that time, Lu’s mother had already buried the newborn under a tree in the yard.

The couple, who have a 7-year-old daughter, rushed back home to dig up the baby girl and found out she was still breathing.

After being checked by the hospital and treated for three days, the miracle baby turned out to be six – not four – months old.
