Is it a bird...? 'Jetman' seen in the skies of Dubai
Yves Rossy was filmed flying in his jetpack at 5,000 feet above the Dubai desert and at a speed of up to 12 mph
Yves Rossy aka “Jetman” is back in the skies, and his latest daredevilish stunt was in Dubai.
Rossy, who is a Swiss ex-fighter pilot and former commercial flights captain, was filmed soaring the skies of Dubai this week side by side with aerobatics champion Veres Zoltan.
Rossy was flying at 5,000 feet above the Dubai desert flying at a speed of up to 12 mph.
The clip shows Rossy jumping off a chopper in his custom-built flying wings and engaging in adrenaline-inducing acrobatics -- hammerheads, rolls and S-turns -- with an airplane.
Rossy became the first man to fly using jet-propelled wings in 2006 and earned him a spot in Guinness World Records.
His jetpack adventures in the past invovled the Grand Canyon in the United States, among Mount Fuji in Japan, Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, among others.
