Scorpion stings woman on plane
It is not known how the scorpion got on the plane, which began its journey in Mexico
A flight was delayed in America after a woman was stung by a scorpion onboard the aircraft, British daily The Guardian reported.
The Alaska Airlines flight 567 was taxiing on the runway when the woman was stung. The plane was then returned to the gate where the woman was checked by medics – she did not get back on the plane, but refused further treatment, the reported added.
It is not known how the scorpion – which was killed by cabin crew - came to be on the flight from Los Angeles to Portland. But the plane’s journey had begun in Los Cabos, Mexico.
Also onboard the aircraft were members of Oregon State University’s men’s basketball team. The team coach Wayne Tinkle told ESPN: “The woman was a real champ. She acted like it was a mosquito bite. They got it off her, but the needle was stuck.”
