An ATM in Taif dispensed more cash than requested
Money doesn't grow on trees, but there's an ATM that can shower you in cash!
A faulty ATM surprised residents in the Saudi city of Taif by dispensing more cash than requested, a local news website reported Sunday.
Customers reportedly gathered around the ATM which was not functioning normally during the weekend, website Akhbaar24 reported. One customer said he tried withdrawing 300 riyals but the machine dispensed 2800 riyals instead.
He said other customers refused to process transactions fearing it could affect their bank accounts.
Authorities stopped the ATM from operation for further checking by bank employees.
