A Turkish women who fed 35 Syrian refugee children in Istanbul left the restaurant without paying, the Hurriyet Daily News reported on Friday.

The unknown woman reportedly had reportedly gathered together a group of refugee children who were begging in Istanbul at around midday on Friday.

She then took them to a nearby restaurant, ordering 25 doner kebabs for 35 children as well as ayran, a Turkish drink made of yoghurt and water, the report added.

While the refuges were eating, the woman allegedly told the waiters that she needed to go to an exchange office to convert her 200 euros into Turkish Liras.

“The bill, including 10 beef döner kebabs and 25 chicken döner kebabs, was 275 Turkish Liras ($94). The woman said she would return after converting her 200 euros but she didn’t,” restaurant owner, Cengiz Aydoğan, told private Turkish news agency Cihan.

Aydoğan had waited for hours after the woman left, but she didn’t return.
