Saudi police raid Jazan ‘underground alcohol’ factory
The factory, which was equipped to process and pack the liquor, was concealed in a ranch, that has been leased over a month ago
Saudi Police has raided an “underground” factory in the city of Jazan for producing alcohol, which is banned under Sharia (Islamic law).
The security forces arrested two African nationals and confiscated huge quantities of liquor ready for distribution.
The factory, which was equipped to process and pack the liquor, was concealed in a ranch, that has been leased over a month ago.
General Nassir bin Saleh al-Duwaisi, commander of Jazan police forces said the security personnel maintained round the clock surveillance on the ranch after receiving a tip-off from the ranch landlord.
