Call center set up in Saudi Arabia to coincide with the launch of the Citizen Account received about 80,000 calls since the program got underway on Tuesday.

According to officials, around 80 percent of the call center calls were answered while 20 percent of the calls got an automatic response to give the citizen's account information. The main questions that were asked related to calculated income.

Officials say that in less than 24 hours on the launch of the Saudi Citizen Account program, over one million Saudis have registered.

In an interview to Al Arabiya News Channel, the general supervisor of the program, Majid al-Osaimi, said that over 800,000 of those registered since yesterday are families.

He added that 456,000 have completed all registration data, which is equivalent to more than 10 percent of Saudi families registered.

The Saudi ‘Citizen’s Account’ scheme is considered one of the major tools to permit the economic transformation within the Saudi Arabia’s ‘Vision 2030’, the adopted methodology and roadmap for economic and developmental action in the kingdom.
