Hollywood star Leonardo Dicaprio has been spotted at Nusr-Et Dubai watching in awe as Nusret Gökçe, the chef famed for his ‘Ottoman steak’ video, performed his now infamous ‘salt bae move.
The world renowned chef saw his Twitter followers grow to an impressive 3 million, after his ‘Ottoman steak’ video went viral. The video shows the chef carve what seems to be a deliciously tender piece of steak, before sprinkling the salt in his now trademark maneuver.
The movement involves holding salt with your hand in the air at shoulder height, your arm bent, with your forearm pointing outwards and then sprinkling the salt from this position down your forearm.
In the tweet featuring Dicaprio, the star seems fixated, toothpick in his mouth as he watches the performance unfold in front of him.
The Salt Bae recently announced plans to expand, opening restaurants in New York and London, so it seems likely that this latest piece of social media will go some way to help promote the theatrical chef’s special brand.
