Videos have been circulated on social media on Friday of snow fall, but this wasn’t some European destination, or Scandinavia but it was Jebel Jais Mountain in Ras Al Khaimah - the highest peak in the UAE.
Photos and videos showed Emarati Twitter users keen to document the rare moments of fun in the heart of the magnificent landscape filled with a blanket of white fluffy snow.
Jebel Jais is about 1,900 meters above sea level, and located in the northern emirate of Ras Al Khaimah.
The National Center for Seismology and Meteorology reported the dip in temperature in Jebel Jais was down to -2.2 Celsius.
