Saudis storm social media with cold weather wit
Saudis have been highlighting the humor behind the recent wave of cold weather
Saudis have been highlighting the humor behind the recent wave of cold weather in the kingdom by posting photos and videos showing their suffering in funny ways.
The Northern city of Tabuk registered the coldest weather plummeting to a sub-zero -8 degrees Celsius at night, with forecasts predicting further cold weather across some parts of the kingdom.
The social media posts compared Saudi’s weather to that of mountains in Geneva and Munich, while one photo showed a man sitting on an electric heater.
In a more extreme example another video even showed a man driving a car with a fire burning in the foot-well of the front passenger seat that he lit in his heat-deprived car to keep himself warm, as another picture shows Riyadh’s famous Kingdom Center lighting like a giant heater.
