An Egyptian couple threw out a wedding party 18 years after they got married.
Wife Manal al-Esawi told Al Arabiya that after many years of marriage, she wanted to celebrate the couple’s happiness in an unconventional way.
Al-Esawi organized a full marriage ceremony, in which she invited all her friends, relatives, as well as her kids’ school friends.
The ceremony was an opportunity to renew their marriage vows and to apologize for any unintended mistakes any of the pair might have committed over the years, 47-year-old Al-Esawi said.
“My kids maybe the first Egyptians to attend their parents wedding, but I think that this is a positive trend that can spread to many others in the future,” she said.
