Indonesian woman sings Gulf, Egyptian songs flawlessly but doesn’t know Arabic

An Indonesian woman has mastered singing in a foreign language that she does not speak.

Kiki Amalia attracted thousands of followers on social media for her unique ability to sing Gulf and Egyptian songs flawlessly.

She explained she listens to songs and memorizes the sounds singers make and tries to replicate it.

Saudi singers Mohammad Abdu and Abu Bakr Salem are her favorite gulf singers, while the late Oum Kalthoum is her favored Egyptian singer.

Amalia said that she has never lived in Arab countries, but has visited Qatar in December 2010 and performed at the Doha Festival.

The Indonesian singer says that she utilizes her skill in her home country and sings in several Arab restaurants.
