Iranian activists have shared a video of an Iranian girl dancing in front of the famous Azadi Tower in Tehran in defiance of the Iranian authorities which are keen to preserve the “Iranian revolution’s values” that oppose freedoms in the country.
In the video, which was posted on different social networks and YouTube, the girl has committed two “crimes” according to Iranian laws, as she’s not only dancing in the street but she’s also not wearing a headscarf.
The Iranian court punishes women for such acts and sentences them to lashing or jail for several months.
The girl, who uses her phone to record herself dancing, has also danced in other public places, including parks and popular streets in Tehran.
