Egyptian police have arrested 13 people who tied a woman to a light pole in the city of Belbeis in the Sharkia governorate north of the country.
They tied and tortured her on false charges of trying to kidnap a child.
Security Director of Sharkia Maj. Gen. Reda Tabliah received a statement that a group of citizens in Alwan area in Belbeis city had tied a woman to a light pole and violently hit her, accusing her of trying to kidnap a child in front of his house.
Eyes witnesses said that the woman tried to catch and kidnap the child, while he was playing in front of his house, however the child’s story proved to be wrong, as he thought that the woman was watching him and trying to kidnap him.
