It also appears that the iPhone 8 will be the most expensive smartphone in comparison to its predecessors. According to technology experts, the new OLED screen used in the iPhone 8, provided by Samsung, costs twice as much an LCD screen would, which is used in former iPhone generations.

An OLED screen costs between $120 and $130 per iPhone. However, former LCD screens cost between $45 and $55 per device. The phone is estimated at $1100.

Gold Plated

Perhaps the most expensive iPhone would be one that is gold plated. The 24 carat gold plated iPhone 8 will be available for purchase starting at a lavish cost of $50,000, according to technology sites.

Gold plated iPhones previously sold by Gold Genie, a London-based company, cost anywhere between $39,000 and $17.8 million dollars.
