7 year-old Emirati boy controls traffic flow on Ras al-Khaimah road

A dream came true for 7-year-old Emirati Abdullah Hamad el-ktbi after Ras al-Khaimah (RAK) police fulfilled his wish to become a police officer. The little boy was given the opportunity to control traffic flow on one of the emirate’s roads.

A team of officers and members of the Traffic and Patrol Department from RAK’s Police General Headquarters oversaw Abdullah taking over the flow on-site for a whole hour.

New academic year

This initiative coincided with the start of the new school year on Sunday.

To truly live the dream, Abdullah was dressed in a lieutenant’s uniform prepared personally by his father.

RAK police officers also briefed Abdullah on various police duties, including how to deal with vehicles, drivers, school buses and necessary procedures to ensure student safety.

In light of the gesture, Brigadier General Mohammed Saeed Al Humaidi, Director General of Central Operations, RAK Police, expressed his hopes for Abdullah to work in the police force in the future.
