An Anglo-Arabic school in India, which was established in the year 1696, has been fighting for identity and resources ever since the British introduced the English language.
The school in Delhi, which was established during the time of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb, was ransacked during the mutiny of 1857.
Anglo Arabic Secondary School was then a seat of learning for languages such as Arabic, Hindi, Persian, Sanskrit and English and now battles lack of resources.
