Egyptian bride-to-be suffers permanent scars as treatment goes horribly wrong
A 33-year-old Egyptian bride to be was simply preparing herself for her wedding until she suffered from unfortunate scars after a beauty treatment went horribly wrong.
On January 11 of this year, Walaa went to a beauty salon in Cairo, recommended to her by a friend, to eliminate black spots she had on her face a week prior to her wedding.
Second-degree burns
Despite having a well-known doctor perform the laser procedure, Walaa left the beauty center with second-degree burns and permanent scars. Her wedding has since been postponed to an unknown date.
Speaking to Al Arabiya.net was Walaa’s lawyer, consultant Essam Mehn, who said that Walaa expressed discomfort during the treatment however, the doctor reassured her that the sensation was natural. The doctor also said that she would suffer from swellings that will disappear with some creams, he added.
The lawyer has since filed a law suit to the general attorney against the beauty center for causing severe second-degree burns on her face and leaving it permanently scarred.
It was surprising to find out that the friend whom recommended the beauty center to Walaa had also suffered from burns and scars on her hand after pursuing a treatment there, said Mehn.
Walaa will now undergo a series of treatments for a year. Even then, her once beautiful face will not be recovered.
