The city of Dubai celebrated the Chinese New Year with a spectacular dragon-themed light and sound show on Burj Khalifa, the global icon.
With a newly produced and captivating show, Dubai pays tribute to the thousands of Chinese residents in the UAE with a dragon-themed show reflecting the Chinese cultural symbols and traditions.
Following a sparkling display, a ‘Happy New Year’ message in Chinese came to life on Burj Khalifa’s façade bringing the laser show to a remarkable close.
The “Light UP” festive display is set to feature from February 16 to 24, 2018.
China is Dubai’s biggest trading partner and the UAE’s second largest trading partner, with the UAE also serving as a growing link in China’s One Belt, One Road initiative.
The UAE has over 4,200 Chinese companies while over 253,000 Chinese nationals live in Dubai.
