Dubai Ruler and the Vice President of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum, commemorates Mother’s Day this year by visiting an Emirati widower.
The woman, Fatima Ibrahim bin Suleiman, was the wife of philanthropist Obeid Al Helou. The ruler chose to visit Suleiman after hearing about her dedication to the UAE community.
Suleiman has upheld her husband’s mission in serving the UAE from conducting humanitarian work to starting various community initiatives. The ruler shared footage of his visit on his twitter handle on Wednesday, 21 March, coinciding with Mother’s Day.
Accompanying his post was a warm greeting to all mothers on their special day. He said: “On this Mother’s Day, I was glad to visit Fatima Ibrahim bin Suleiman, widow of Obeid Al Helou. I had heard a lot about her – she is an Emirati mother who devotes herself not only to her family, but also to her community. We thank her, and all mothers, today and every day.”
