The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is set to host the Misk Global Forum in November this year.

The program seeks to encourage creativity among Saudi Youth.

In New York, the foundation recently organized a two-hour forum, Misk Talk, where various speakers presented new and innovative ideas.

For example, one of the speakers was a Saudi doctor who discussed his research at Johns Hopkins Hospital on transplanting hands on a US soldier – who is now able to drive a car.

He said: “My journey was a long and difficult one, I had a lot ahead of me. But was it impossible? Of course not.” “Through hard work and determination, anything is possible,” he added.

At the forum, Misk Foundation hosted a number of other speakers from top US universities. They also welcomed speakers from Saudi Arabia, the Philippines and Hong Kong.

Another topic touched upon by the speakers at the forum was women’s role in the community.

One speaker noted that from an economic perspective, research found that a woman’s participation will increase production in the workplace.

“When we look at the doing business rating in a certain country, we can see that there is a clear positive correlation between the economic health and performance and women’s equality in the work place.”

Misk’s mission coincides with the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s call for creativity.

Not only does the crown prince invite the Saudi youth to be creative, he also stresses the need to embrace education, technology and the arts.

“The most important characteristic of Saudi Arabia is the power of its Youth. Saudi youth are aware, strong, ambitious, intellectual, educated, creative and have noble values.”

“All what is needed is to create a vision and realize it, he added.”

Misk Global Forum is set to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on November 14-15.
