The UAE’s Sharjah Criminal court has charged three house maids for stealing jewelry from an Emirati woman’s house and possessing alcohol.
Lodging a formal complaint, the woman claimed that jewelry was stolen from a safe in her room. The stolen goods were worth $81,675, which equates to Dh300,000.
Investigations at the crime scene also found that the trio possessed alcohol in their cupboard.
The judge on the case, Mahmoud Abker, called the charges on the Indian and two Filipina maids, reported Khaleej Times.
