Dubai policeman helping woman with broken down car gets run over by motorist

A Dubai policeman who was helping a woman with a broken down car on the side of a major highway got run over by a motorist earlier this month where he still remains hospitalized.

According to The National, details about the driver who hit Saeed Mohammed Shakal, who works in the Search and Rescue department of Dubai Police, were not disclosed, neither were the extent of Shakal’s injuries.

Dubai Police released an image of Shakal in a hospital bed with a cast on his right arm and a soft cast on his left arm. He was visited by the commander-in-chief of Dubai Police on Sunday who wished him a speedy recovery.
