Horses on a plane: How 500 stallions are transported for the Equestrian Games
Emirates is set to operate as a special charter for the FEI World Equestrian Games and will be expected to transport over 500 horses to the event in the coming days.
According to a promotional video posted by Emirates, the transport will be the largest air horse charter that has been undertaken for any sporting event so far.
The first group of 67 horses were flown from Belgium’s Liege to Greenville-Spartanburg in the United States in an Emirates SkyCargo Boeing 777 freighter aircraft.
