Palestine health minister in coughing fit during presser over coronavirus threat
A video of the Palestinian Health Minister Mai al-Kailah coughing during her press conference regarding the threats of the coronavirus outbreak earlier in the week has gone viral.
Al-Kailah coughed repeatedly during her conference with other officials in front of reporters, occasionally stopping mid-sentence to cough into a napkin.
“The corona is like a normal flu, just like I’m suffering from the flu right now,” al-Kailah told reporters amid nervous laughter from the audience of reporters.
“The difference is I wasn’t in China and came back or in Korea. So, I’m excluded since I did not come into contact with others who were infected,” she added.
Israel’s health ministry on Friday confirmed its second case of coronavirus, a person it said had been in close contact with a man who tested positive after visiting Italy.
