A video on social media shows a British woman getting dragged out of a hotel pool then arrested for breaking coronavirus quarantine rules.

Several people in swimwear are seen watching from the sidelines as the action unfolded. According to media reports, the incident occurred at a hotel on the Spanish island of Tenerife.

“Well done,” one woman yelled when a man took off his shirt and jumped in. He then carried the swimmer out of the pool and a police officer arrested her as she lied face-down.

People applauded when the officer escorted the woman in handcuffs out of the pool area.

Countries all over the world have taken measures to combat the spread of the new coronavirus. Millions of people have been told to self-isolate and stay home, when possible, to lower the risk of infection.

Over 277,000 people globally have been infected with the new coronavirus and over 11,000 have died as of Saturday, according to Google’s latest numbers. A total of 90,883 have recovered.
