Elon Musk, Grimes welcome baby boy with the strangest name

Tesla CEO Elon Musk and singer Grimes’ newborn son has already garnered some online fame just hours after his birth when the couple revealed that they would be naming their baby boy X Æ A-12 Musk.

The 48-year-old SpaceX founder told his Twitter followers “Mom & baby all good” before revealing the strange name.

Musk also posted a photo of the baby with face tattoos and captioned it “Never too young for some ink haha.”

People were quick to react to the news on Twitter, with X Æ A-12 gathering over 718,000 tweets already.

Grimes, whose real name is Claire Boucher, gave a full breakdown of the name to curious followers.

She tweeted, “X, the unknown variable. Æ, my elven spelling of Ai (love &/or Artificial intelligence). A-12 = precursor to SR-17 (our favorite aircraft). No weapons, no defenses, just speed. Great in battle, but non-violent + (A=Archangel, my favorite song) (metal rat)”
