Kurdish reporter tries to speak to ISIS near their border post

Published: Updated:

Hunar Ahmed, a correspondent for the Kurdish-language news channel Rudaw, was seen attempting to speak to armed men from the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) in a YouTube video published Wednesday.

Ahmed walked onto a bridge, half of which is reportedly claimed by ISIS while the remainder is controlled by the Kurdish Peshmerga forces.

“We as Rudaw are here to interview anyone of them but they are refusing to talk,” the correspondent said, with his plea being ignored by the ISIS fighters, according to the footage.
