A look at Egypt's crisis-hit museums

The Egyptian Museum and archeological sites across the country were looted heavily during the past two years of Egyptian instability, surpassing all the plundering that occurred since the time of the Pharaohs. While art pieces are registered and therefore can’t be sold or bought without catching attention, archeologist say the greatest disaster lies in the damaging, illegal drilling of thousands of archeological sites.
