Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi was sworn into office at Cairo’s Supreme Constitutional Court on Sunday.
During the inauguration, Egypt’s state TV broadcasted footage of Sisi sitting next to Egypt’s outgoing interim President Adly Mansour in front of court officials.
In another view, members of Sisi’s family were shown on TV, listening to him as he took the oath. It is the first time Egypt’s new first family makes an official public appearance.
