Jeddah civil defense puts out 12-hour fire

Published: Updated:

A fire in a Jeddah warehouse was finally put out by civil defense forces, 12 hours after it had started on Saturday morning.

The fire was put out by 27 civil defense brigades and rescue officers, who finally managed to control the flames rising from south Jeddah, amid high summer temperatures.

Regional civil defense spokesman Saeed Sarhan said flammable materials including paint, construction material, wood and plastics were inside the warehouses, and had helped spread the fire along with the prescence of a strong wind.
