School girl to Obama: I thought you’d be Beyoncé

A sixth-grader in a Washington school told U.S. President Barack Obama that she thought the special guest at her school was going to be popular singer Beyoncé instead of him, the Telegraph reported.

“When I first heard that somebody special was coming, I really wanted it to be Beyoncé,” the girl named Madison said.

The young girl’s spontaneous comment provoked laughs in the room where Obama and first lady Michelle were helping fill backpacks with books and toys for homeless children, according to the British newspaper.
