U.N. chief Ban Ki-moon tours Gaza tunnels

Published: Updated:

U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon toured a tunnel dug by Palestine’s Hamas group during his visit to Gaza and southern Israel, the Jerusalem Post reported on Tuesday.

According to the Israeli newspaper, Israel Defense Forces (IDF) officers had uncovered the tunnel which links the Gaza Strip to southern Israel near Kibbutz Ein Hashlosha.

It is one of many tunnels used by the militant group, allowing fighters and weapons to move out of sight of Israeli drones.
