Social media users are sharing a video online showing members of the Saudi religious police pursuing and apprehending a man in the capital, Riyadh , on Sunday evening.
The Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice had received a call from a woman complaining that the man was armed and had been blackmailing her at the mall, according to Sabq newspaper.
The video shows the man surrounded and failing in his attempt to flee the scene after crashing into another car outside the mall.
The commission’s spokesman said the suspect had resisted arrest, leading to the injury of a member of the commission.
