TV footage shows panic as militants storm Tunisia museum

Tunisian television footage showed on Wednesday the panic as militants stormed the country’s national museum, killing at least 17 foreign tourists and two Tunisians.


The dead included visitors from Italy, Germany, Poland and Spain as a result of the noon assault on the Bardo museum near the country’s parliament.

The footage showed dozens of people, including elderly foreigners and one man carrying a child, running for shelter in the compound, covered by security forces aiming rifles into the air.
